With a client looking to carry out a variety of inspection, repair and maintenance tasks efficiently and quickly, ROVOP were contracted to deploy a tailored solution which would be effective in strong currents and rough sea states.

ROVOP’s free-flying Seaeye Cougar XT was deployed on the platform, with the work scope consisting of CVI and GVI, marine growth measurement and MGR. In addition, ultrasonic testing to measure wall thickness was carried out in, in addition to acoustic flooded member detection.

A further value-add was the addition of a gas sampling kit, which could be used in the event that a leak was discovered as part of the inspection process.

This holistic package matched the client’s requirements, and was delivered in a timely fashion for maximum efficiency.
