Neil joined ROVOP in April 2020 bringing extensive experience gained from senior financial and operational management positions across various sectors and most recently 12+ years in oil and gas. He has particular expertise in delivering value by sound commercial management aligned to a strong ethos of quality service delivery through team effort. Neil is a Chartered Accountant and most recently, prior to joining ROVOP, held senior roles in private equity backed companies Dominion Gas and TWMA.
Dane Dundas is the Financial Director and Board member at ROVOP, having joined the company in 2019 as Financial Controller and progressing to his current role in February 2025. A Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Dane brings deep financial expertise and strategic insight to the business. In his role, Dane oversees ROVOP’s financial operations with a focus on finance, insurance, IT systems, and tax. His leadership spans multiple entities within the ROVOP group, where he plays a key role in ensuring financial stability and operational efficiency. Dane is based in Scotland and is known for his analytical approach, commitment to excellence, and ability to align financial strategy with business growth.
Steven has over 30 years’ experience within industrial and energy markets and has spent the last 20 years working within the subsea industry. Prior to joining ROVOP, Steven worked for technology focussed businesses, Beam and Nauticus Robotics developing and promoting autonomous subsea robots and surface vessels. Steven also served as Vice President and Country Manager during a 13-year career with Oceaneering. Experienced leader with a demonstrated history within the oil & energy and offshore wind sectors. Senior level leader and business development professional with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) focused in Oil & Gas from Robert Gordon University.
Doug started his career as a Maintenance Engineer, Welder and Fitter before becoming an ROV Pilot Technician in 1998 with Submersible Television Surveys (STS). He then moved to Technip as an ROV Supervisor, but later returned to STS (now Neptune Marine Services) as ROV Project Manager, and latterly became Operations Manager before joining ROVOP as Operations Director in 2012.
Daniel joined ROVOP in July of 2021. Daniel has been in the ROV industry for over 13 years and held various roles from ROV Supervisor, Technical Manager, Vice President of Business Development, and most recently Business Acquisitions Manager at Helix Remote Services.
Martin Dey is the Operations Manager at ROVOP, where he has been a key member of the team since joining in May 2012. With a career in the ROV industry spanning over two decades, Martin began his journey in 1999 as a Trainee ROV Pilot Technician and has steadily progressed through a variety of offshore and onshore roles, including Compliance Manager and Project Manager. Martin’s extensive hands-on experience and leadership have been instrumental in shaping ROVOP’s operational success. His deep understanding of subsea operations and commitment to excellence continue to drive efficiency, safety, and innovation across the company’s global projects.
Karen joined ROVOP in December 2019, bringing significant strategic and operational HR experience, gained within the oil and gas sector. She has a proven track record in developing, implementing and delivering strategic change initiatives globally including: organisational change and development; talent management, succession planning and leadership development initiatives. CIPD qualified, Karen has most recently held senior HR roles with ICR Integrity and Viking SeaTech.
Mark joined ROVOP in September 2021 from Subsea 7 where he held various international business development roles. He brings significant knowledge of business development, strategy, and commercial issues across the energy sector. Mark holds a BA in Business Management from the University of Stirling specialising in strategy, policy, international business, and Marketing.
Suzy joined ROVOP in 2018. She has 18 years’ experience in the subsea sector, initially with an operations and logistics focus before moving into commercial roles. Suzy previously worked for TS Marine and was part of the team which established Salt Subsea in Aberdeen before she joined Bibby Offshore. Her industry knowledge and experience mean she brings a sound understanding of both operational and commercial issues to her role with ROVOP.
Katherine joined ROVOP in November 2023. She has 22 years of experience in HSEQ in the oil and gas sector, specialising in subsea, integrity management, and chemical sectors. Katherine previously worked for Wood for the previous 12 years in various HSEQ positions, most recently as Senior HSEQ manager, managing and developing all aspects of HSEQ on and offshore in EAME and APAC, including mentoring and developing the HSEQ teams. Kat brings knowledge and commitment to ensure continuous improvement to all HSEQ within ROVOP.
ROVOP has announced local social care charity, VSA as its charity partner for 2026 following a company-wide vote involving colleagues across the business.
The partnership continues ROVOP’s ongoing commitment to supporting local charities and community initiatives through fundraising, volunteering and awareness activity. Last month, ROVOP announced the results of its successful campaign of fundraising in 2025, which saw the firm raise almost £12,000 for Charlie House.
Based in Aberdeen, VSA is a long-established charity providing vital support to vulnerable people across the region. Its services span a wide range of areas, including support for adults with learning disabilities, care and wellbeing services for older people, mental health support, care at home, support for unpaid carers and residential education for children living with complex and additional support needs. Through its services, the organisation helps individuals live more independent and fulfilling lives while ensuring they have access to the care and support they need.
Shellie Stewart, Executive Assistant and Fundraising Manager at ROVOP said: “VSA delivers vital support to many people across the North East, and we’re proud to be supporting the organisation in 2026.
“In recent years, we have proudly supported our nominated charities through our fundraising efforts and remain committed to continuing that support. The ROVOP team always shows great enthusiasm for fundraising initiatives, and we’re excited to see what we can achieve together over the coming year.”
Throughout 2026, ROVOP employees will take part in a variety of fundraising and social activities aimed at raising funds and awareness for the charity. Colleagues will also have opportunities to volunteer with VSA, helping to support its work within the local community.
