IMR activity on multiple platforms simultaneously

What we delivered

A client contracted ROVOP to carry out inspection and maintenance works over four separate installations in the North Sea. These were to be carried out over two rigs simultaneously.

Recognising the need for reliable, efficient and robust technologies in order to maximise weather windows available, ROVOP simultaneously deployed a Cougar XT compact ROV and a Cougar XT.

The work scope included several in-depth subsea inspection methods, including cathodic protection, flooded member detection, marine growth removal and general visual inspection of subsea assets and infrastructure.

Working within a Zone II environment, ROVOP successfully provided zone-rated systems for the task. Both Cougar XTs were in free-flying configuration and conducted 24-hour operations with no incidents during the entirety of the work scope.
