Vessel Conversion with Integrated Dual ROV Solution

What we delivered

Our customer’s aim was to create a multi-technology geophysical ROV vessel with source, towed streamer and the ability to perform ocean bottom ROV surveys from a single vessel platform.

In partnership with our client, ROVOP successfully completed an integrated Dual Work Class ROV Solution with increased tether excursion capability within the newly converted vessel. The integration and conversion would enhance the capabilities of our customers vessel by enabling underwater inspections, surveys, and other tasks that an ROV can perform, complementing the vessel’s primary seismic survey operations.

The integration was a showcase of ROVOP’s service offerings involving:

Assessment and Planning: Assessing vessel’s specifications, capabilities, and requirements to determine the most suitable ROV solution for the vessel’s needs.

Customisation and Integration: The engineering and customisation of ROV systems to fit the vessel’s layout, ensuring seamless integration with existing equipment and infrastructure.

Training and Personnel: A dedicated team to implement site specific training, procedures and emergency protocols.

Testing and Commissioning: Prior to deployment, rigorous testing of the integrated ROV system was conducted to ensure its functionality, reliability, and compliance with safety standards.

Operational Support: After integration, ROVOP continue to provide ongoing operational support, offering technical assistance, maintenance services, project solutions and troubleshooting as needed during the vessel’s operations.
