Pathway

The ROVOP Academy provides a structured development programme with training and competence focused on the right skills needed to progress to a Pilot Technician. Key training at this level includes:

• HSEQ courses
• ROV System specific courses to enable you to fly the ROV, carry out system maintenance and assist the ROV Supervisor in problem solving
• Scenario training on our simulator. Scenarios include, 30 realistic subsea training exercises, 3D visuals, onboard sensors and virtual environmental conditions

The ROVOP Academy will provide you with a structured development programme with training and competence focused on the right skills needed to progress to a Senior Pilot Technician. In addition to the courses provided at previous levels, typical courses include:

• Technical courses including manipulators and other peripheral tooling and sensors
• Launch and recovery systems for safe and efficient operations
• ROV Fibre Optic Systems

The ROVOP Academy supports personnel all the way through their Career at ROVOP. With technical and HSEQ experience as a Supervisor, we start to focus on team management and communication skills in order for you to get the best out of your team. Courses may include:

• Safety & Leadership
• Accident, Incident reporting & investigations
• Supervisor Skills
• Competence Assessor training

With proven experience and supervisory skills, the ROVOP Academy will focus on further supervisory, Health & Safety and performance management skills. A mutual understanding of areas for development through appraisals will highlight where we can focus on to further develop our personnel.
