Our personnel come from a variety of different backgrounds, the Academy accommodates everyone no matter what stage of their career that they join. From ROV Supervisors with years of experience in the industry, and people who have cross-transferred skills in mechanical, electrical and hydraulics disciplines from another industry, the ROVOP Academy is set up to enable our people to progress in a structured and progressive manner.

Training & Competence Coordinator
As ROVOP's Training and Competence Coordinator, it is my responsibility to assist with the running and development of the ROVOP Academy.
The ROVOP Academy has been set up to train and develop our ROV Pilots at whichever stage of their career they join the Academy. A great deal of focus and attention is put in to sourcing the highest quality training which makes a practical difference to quality efficiency and safety offshore.
Providing our ROV pilots with the right balance of on and off the job training, along with in-house competency management ensures ROVOP's personnel are continually learning and developing themselves.
Communicating with the ROVOP team to help them progress their ROV career is a challenging and rewarding process.
The future holds some exciting development opportunities at ROVOP and the Academy is a key part of our success.
